Build downtime into your schedule – Not only should you plan work meetings, business networking and meetings int your schedule, but you should plan time with your friends and family through activities that help you recharge. Going to a movie, playing in the park with your children or having a glass of wine with friends can help boost the morale of your hectic work week.
Drop activities that sap your time or energy – it’s common for jobseekers and even the employed to waste their time on activities or people that add no value. Realize ways for you to add stock of activities that aren’t really enhancing your career or personal life and minimize the time you spend with them. Often times we get sucked into habits that are making us much less efficient without realizing it like the time we spend on the web or social media sites.
Get Moving – It’s easy to push off exercising when you have a jammed packed schedule but it may ultimately help you get more done by boosting your energy level and ability to concentrate. Exercise and movement can help you become more alert.
A little relaxation goes a long way – Don’t be overwhelmed by thinking you need to make big changes in your life or bring more balance to yourself. Set realistic goals that might even be daily goals. Slowly build more activities into your schedule that are more important to you.
