About Your Presenter: Jennie Griggs, BS, MA, is a Geriatric Specialist and founder of Aging Collective, a collective of aging resources for business and personal needs. The group develops and presents continuing education courses for corporate and educational clients.

Also, Jennie promotes senior wellness by instructing several Evidence-Based senior fitness programs approved by the CDC such as Tai Chi for Arthritis and Fall prevention, Zumba Gold® and GeriFit®. She works with Aging Care Matters as a Geriatric Care Manager and assists seniors with Medicare and Medicaid questions using her NC and SC Life, Accident and Health license.

Inspired by her favorite author, C.S. Lewis, “You are never too old to set another goal or to dream a new dream;” at the age of 64, Jennie Griggs was accepted into the Aging Studies Graduate Program at Wichita State University. She was awarded the Charles W. & Marga-ret D. Mullikin Fellowship in Gerontology Scholarship serving as a graduate associate and re-search assistant. In 2018 she graduated and received the award, graduate student of the year in the Health Science Department with highest honors. A widow today, Jennie a woman of faith is blessed with two daughters, six grandchildren, three dogs, and a loving companion.

Once successful in the corporate world nationally representing companies in sales, business development and training, Jennie’s life course and personal mission refocused following her health battles, and those of her husband who lost his fight with a long-term illness and dementia.
